It's probably going to get at least 4 teams in if not more.... With good seeds.

Sorry but the round robin does not help the Big East out at all... Going to have a lot of 8-10 to 10-8 teams. A team probably gets knocked out of the tourney as a result- and a lot of ones that do make it in will be seeded so poorly like normal that they're in impossible situations in 2nd round.

The expectation by NET for this matchup was probably that the Johnnie's would win by a few points, so when they lost, they dropped a few spots based on how their rating decreased. Butler's NET rating improved, but not enough to move up a spot. That makes sense because in St. John's range, there are a lot of teams clumped close together, but near the top of the rankings teams are more spread out.

I could see Butlers actual rating drop a tad but they had enough of a lead on #5 and #6 that it didn't matter. Their MOV and efficiency measures dropped of course with this game.

Butler was winning games by more than 2 PPG. Also last night the eff for the game was 0.88-0.85. Only other win that was closer was Stanford at 1.11-1.09. The next closest- was a 0.12 difference...

St John's was the same thing- they had a positive MOV for the season obviously and also their efficiency was much larger.....

Uh, your man Lunardi has the AAAAAAACCCC with two teams, with 5 and 6 seeds, in his latest projection. Give me a f***ing break.

For the AAC, they only really have 2 teams that look like legit possible Sweet 16 contenders or beyond. Memphis and Wichita St. Other than them, Cincy and Houston are solid but not anything to write home about. UConn is still UConn in the AAC. Memphis started the year ranked very high only because of their #1 recruiting class even though their best win is like #35 NET NC State. They might even run the table in the AAC and get some padded record with tons of wins and a good seed in the tourney. But I can see them easily being upset right away. The AAC doesn't prepare you for the best programs in the country. It inflates records until reality hits. If Cincy, Houston, and UConn muck it up, there are scenarios where maybe only Memphis and Wichita St. get in the tourney at all. The Big East has 9 teams that have legitimate chances of getting into the tourney right now.
