Former Friar PG Vincent Council did the head snap back almost every time he brushed by a defender at the top of the key. Was definitely something he was either taught or figured out worked on his own.

Yup, Tu Holloway was the same way. Watch Melo Trimble for Marlyland he does it all the time. If the refs are going to call it and give you free points why not do it?

It's like the leg kick out on a three point shot. Bryce Cotton mastered that one. Don't think I've seen another player complete more 4-point plays.

Kemba Walker used to do that all the time. Like I said it really doesn't bother me. It actually bothers me more when a player on my team does that because you can take yourself out of the play if you don't get the whistle. Instead, you can play thru contact and beat your man off the dribble.

If you're paying attention, you can't watch a college basketball game without seeing it, as it might be the easiest trick available.

The way I saw Bluiett after the offensive rebound through my blue tinted glasses was that his momentum was carrying him towards the SJU player and he snapped his head back so he didn't ram through the guy or hurt his head. When I heard the whistle and saw there was a technical I thought it was on that play and thought it was a terrible call. Then they showed Mussini slamming the ball and I understood the T. I didn't agree with it, but I understood it.

Two things from the game I thought were odd:

1) Xavier beating the press and then never looking to score while they had the advantage. Sometimes it would be 3 on 1 and it was like they were running clock for some reason. Score the damn basketball and put the other team away! You would NEVER see Nova doing that in the same situation, they love to bury teams when they get the advantage.

2) Jalen giving up an easy basket to instead try a dunk from too far away. Does anyone else in basketball misjudge how long their arms are more than Jalen Reynolds? I have seen more than a couple occasions where he goes for a dunk instead of the gimme and can't convert.
