I never said we didn't, did I? But we guard the 3 better than 'Nova does at this point, and I like the match-up with them. And we're better at scoring in other ways than in December. I'm not saying don't take the 3 when you get open looks, as we have, but 'Nova showed against GT that they tend to get desperate with the 3's. I saw them take a lot of contested 3's against GT.
Gotta love when you take the results of one game and assume that is indicative of how teams are all the time. Gtwn would have given UK a run for their money on that night. They were on. Period. You tip your cap and move on. Sometimes you get smoked (sort of like you guys vs. UVA and VU) and there is not much you can do about it.
So let's look how the "good" teams fared against that daunting VCU 3 pt D:
Nova - 39%
UVA - 55%
UNI - 46%
ODU - 53%
Cincy - 20%
Oh, I see... Cincy (and the dregs of the A-10) didn't shoot he ball well from 3 against you so that must mean you have a shut down 3 pt defense now. Did I get that right? Although when you played quality opponents somehow they were able to make 3 pt. shots at a very respectable rate. Hmm... again solid, solid point you are making, champ.
Here's the thing Sport, if you want to talk sh!t about how great your squad is vs. another team, you might want to pick a year when your squad didn't get their doors blown in by said team. Just a suggestion You're starting to remind me of the Dayton and Temple fans who like to tell you how much greater their leagues are than yours, but then beg for a spot at the your table when expansion is discussed. Enjoy being the tallest midget in the A-10 but stop this non-sense.
VU- 77. VCU - 53. Ouch!
