Dayton is dead to me. Good luck in the A-10. Hope you can keep your coach. Schedule up some games with other teams on your level. Like Wright State. And I don't get the Mack /Evansville hate thing. IT WAS 25 yrs. AGO and he was instructed by a A-10 coach. Oh, then he was A-10 Coach of the Year. UD made 2 NCAA appearances bcuz of a loan scandal that brought them a good player. Don't see anybody running around with "loan scandal" signs.

Funny, thought the header on this thread was Xavier v NC State. Came here to get some insight on the game but its more about Dayton than the subject at hand. Believe me as a 72 grad of UCLA and winner 7 of 10 years for the national title I know a thing or two about rivalries. The Pac 12 is as good as it gets in fans talking trash; but really some of the posters here are really acidic and overboard.

Heck Dayton might as well be a member of the BE since its in many threads and unrelated topics. Xavier fans can't claim Dayton is not a rival if they can't keep talking about them. It appears to be a bit obsessive when they aren't even in the league. USC was our big rival and we went back and forth but with a little respect. As for the rest of the PAC 12 don't really keep up with them much except to see what they did at the end of the day.

If Dayton is not a rival then stop talking about them and the subject matter will fade away.

I'm guessing Stainbrook's minutes will be somewhere in the teens. He had 12 minutes versus Marquette and 9 versus Creighton (which was a worst match-up for him, but he also looked like he tweeked his knee early on). I wouldn't expect him to be playing 25 to 33 minutes like he usually does.

There are so many things that come into play as to how much Stainbrook plays tonight. If NC States stud starts eating our inside guys for lunch, his minute obviously go up, if we break out to a solid lead, his minutes decrease significantly. If X is hitting outside shots (see DEE) then his minutes will go down, if we are being outrebounded badly, his minutes go up....on and on.

I would doubt he gets above 16-18 minutes in any best case scenario. And that would be great to hit those minutes.

Thanks guys, and good luck tonight although I doubt you'll need it. Got Xavier in my bracket winning by 12 tonight and 7 against SLU and advancing. Here in St. Louis with some friends (maybe not after they see my picks) and they feel the team has peaked. Coach Crews has said it more than once when asked about the fade toward the end of the season "basketball season is too long.." really coach. Its as if he's waving the white flag and getting the fans ready to accept anothe loss. Some think he is just trying to psych others out, but the evidence points the other way losing 4 of last 5 games.

Anyways counting on you Xavier to keep my bracket alive.
