true, but St Joe's now 16-7 and with a pretty good shot now to get up to 20 or 21 wins. Will be a very interesting team come tourney time...

SMU plasters Cincy. Folks, SMU is now 3-2 vs the big 4 in the AAC. they are tourney bound almost certainly now. I told folks SMU was a team you shouldn't sneeze on- and just think, they get even better next year with a top 5 recruit.

St. Joe trying to get a 5th A-10 bid. Kind of hard to predict which Hawks team shows up, but the one from last night beat VCU with 7 players.

I saw that game last night, Joey's looked pretty good, but then again VCU isn't that impressive if they don't create turnovers. VCU just isn't that good of an offensive team, they struggle mightily to score in the half court set. I still say the best St. Joe's gets to is 21-9, and that's if they somehow forget how to lose gimme games they should win going away.

A weak Miami (Fla) team won on the road last night at Florida State. FSU had been an expected NCAA lock just a few weeks ago, but they've lost 5 of their last 6. The good news is that after last night, St John's has leap-frogged the Seminoles in the RPI.

What happened to UMass? Weren't they ranked a couple of weeks ago. They lost at home tonight to the worst team in the A-10. (George Mason)

VCU beats GW 92-75, to take sole possession of 2nd place in the A-10. One of the best offensive outputs by VCU, scoring 92 points on the 23rd ranked team in defensive efficiency (KenPom), 1.15 points per possession.

Saturday, VCU at SLU - on ESPN.

Bubble teams continue to just drop.

Stanford loses to Washington
LSU loses to Texas A&M
IU loses to Penn State at home

Baylor, Richmond, Dayton and Cal did both pick up needed wins against lesser teams.

Richmond lost 69-60 at George Mason tonight.
Indiana State lost by 18 at Illinois State.
Boise State down 19 in 2nd half at Fresno State.
NC State loses in OT to UNC.

Each of these teams started the night in the high 40s or 50s in RPI. Mostly unexpected results which help SJU, PC and GU.
