Hate to burst your bubble, but there's more to the formula than just NET. We actually made the Tournament 2 years ago with an awful NET of #72 (which was obviously an outlier, but still happened).

St. John's was absolutely on the bubble when you posted, and now they're arguably on the right side of the bubble after picking up another Q2 win.

(OFFICIAL) NITTY-GRITTY (THROUGH GAMES OF March 17, 2019 – SELECTION SUNDAY) - NCAA.org
73. St. John’s • 21-12 (9-11) • 5-7 vs. Quadrant 1 teams • 5-3 vs. Quadrant 2 teams

2019 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament - ESPN

In March 2019, St. John’s received the last ‘at large’ invitation (No. 47 seed overall) on the strength of their 12-1 non-conference record, and 10-10 record vs. Quad 1 and Quad 2 teams. St. John’s had some impressive non-conference wins in 2018-19 with their only non-conference loss coming at AP #2 Duke. Despite enjoying a near home-court advantage at UD Arena, the Johnnies lost their play-in game to Arizona State.

NET RANKINGS 2020-21 – NCAA.com - Through Games on Saturday February 6, 2021
65. St. John’s • 13-7 (7-6) • 2-4 vs. Quadrant 1 teams • 2-2 vs. Quadrant 2 teams

This season, St. John’s is riding an impressive six-game winning streak, and could well end up with an NCAA Tournament invitation next month, which is what I’m hoping for. However, unlike the 2018-19 season, St. John’s has no impressive non-conference wins this season and a 4-6 record vs. Quad 1 and Quad 2 teams so far. That’s a considerable difference.

Best of luck at Butler on Wednesday. As always, I’ll be rooting for St. John’s to beat all of the non-Catholic schools they play.

Lets face it guys it's a down year for several programs. Nova is the only team I see reaching sweet 16. But bright side of things many freshman and sophmores getting minutes.

Nova and Creighton are in. After that, XU, Hall, UConn, St John’s will be battling for ncaa bids. It would be nice to see at least three from the group in the tourney. Is four a possibility? Is two?

Dayton hammered SLU tonight. That might knock the Billikens down a peg and move the Johnnies up.

Nice win Dayton. That should be enough to bump the Johnnies to ESPN's First Four Out. Utah St is also playing right now.

Indiana loses at home to Sparty. In the short term, that’s good for the bubble teams. However, could also mean that Izzo will end up on the bubble now.
