It was a hard foul but it was clean.

I agree it was a hard foul, but he just came down weird. No contact to the head and were going for the ball, but Sumner saw it coming, adjusted and then the hard contact had him coming down head first. Hope he's ok, but he was moving his arms and legs before they asked him to stop moving them, so it should just be a concussion.

Looked similar to Anton Grady's injury for Wichita State but Grady was not moving his extremities while Sumner was so that is a good sign. FYI Grady missed four games but is back to playing.

Edmond going down sucked the life right out of Xavier. The whole team was shook seeing their teammate laying there on the floor.

Nova is shooting lights out against X, as is tradition. This would be a game though with Sumner playing.

Agree. Sometimes when you try to avoid a foul, you end up in a bad landing position

yep, Sumner's length would bother Nova from the arc. Losing Sumner for X is like the Warriors losing Curry. Just not even close to the same team.

Damnnnnnn. Watching at the office. What a game! Nova is on fire.

I still expect the X to pull this one out. Lets see how they come out after the half

Man, it'd be nice for the Big East if Villanova would play like this in big games in March instead of continued early exits.

Hard to play against a high pressure d when you're point guard who shreds high pressure d got taken out within a minute of the game. Mix that with novas best shooting game of the past two years and this is what you get.

The point guard behind sumner is very turnover prone as well.
