Secondly, no player nor coach is bigger than our conference. No player nor coach is bigger than New York, Phila, DC, Chicago and the rest. Buzz was great for the conference, but we'll move on. If Gregg Marshall signs up, it'll be fantastic. Nothing wrong with some new blood in the conference. Marquette makes BOATLOADS of money, so they'll be fine.
Just stop freakin repeating your opinion like it's freakin gospel.
Marc Marotta, a former Marquette basketball star, prominent supporter of the basketball program and chairman of the BMO Harris Bradley Center board of directors, said Friday that Buzz Williams' decision to leave for Virginia Tech was a mistake.
"For him to leave Marquette is one of the most idiotic moves I've ever seen anyone make," Marotta said. "I like Buzz but this is a move that is inexplicable."
Williams reportedly told his players late Friday afternoon of his decision. By then, his Twitter page had already been changed to list him as the Virginia Tech head coach, and feature a picture of the Hokies home basketball court. He also had changed the colors of his "Team Williams" logo above his name to match the Tech school colors.

Could be the administration or he just wanted something new to build his own. The ACC is a challenging place to do it. Marq fans could clue us in on his affection for the community.

I think from a coaching perspective, maybe not. Mentally though- did the Big East in the early 80's lose a coach like this to the ACC?
I mean, think about this- would we see a Bennett going from UVA to DePaul? This makes us look like we're a stepping stone to the P5 conferences. That's the bad thing about this move. .
