I give Jay, a guy who has forgotten more about basketball than most of us ever knew, more credit than that. Coaches don't coach midseason games the way they do tournament 1-and-done games. Sometimes a coach doesn't mind a midseason loss. Occasionally they even welcome it.

One thing I like about Jay is that he's a cool customer. He always knows what he's doing and he's usually a couple of moves ahead of the rest of the field. I don't like playing against guys like that in poker and I imagine they're not fun to coach against either.

As a fan it's fun to see these guys like being around each other:

“After the game the other night, Ethan was out on the court, doing radio with coach (Greg) McDermott,” said Jack Stark, the sports psychologist who works with the team. “And Doug pulled a fast one.

“He told everyone in the locker room to not say a thing when Ethan walked in. He told them to just totally ignore him.

“So Ethan walks in and nothing happens. He kind of looks around and everyone's ignoring him. He says under his breath, 'This is weird.'

“Then after about a minute Doug screamed and everyone jumped on Ethan, hugging him and yelling with him. It was a great moment.

“They were all so happy for him, after what he's been through in his five years here. He's handled everything so well.”

Although it was an ass kicking, I sort of wish I had been there just to say I saw such an shooting exhibition in person.

It's kind of funny, I've only witnessed 2 games like this, one in person, one on TV. Both involved Creighton. Kyle Korver came into Cintas and was hitting ridiculous shots from everywhere, I mean, it was the most epic shooting display I have ever seen, ever. Luckily X won that game.

But this game? I would watch it again and again. I truly feel bad for Villanova fans, because what happened wasn't fair. You can't defend effectively out to a third of the court, yet that's where Wragge was hitting from, and not just on freak shots either, he made it regularly.

You just have to stand back, look at it from a basketball fans perspective overall, and marvel at the game. I doubt we will see something similar anytime soon. What an event.

I heard "golly" and "wow!" in there like 3x each hahaha…if this was me watching a SJ game here in NY it would involve endless expletives and "WHAT CAWL WAS THAT?!".

Awesome vid…was he drunk? I saw he had a coke but maybe he drank earlier? LOL

That's my dad. My little brother shot the video without him knowing it after he went nuts when Wragge hit his 5th. Hard to believe but he had just gotten home from work, no alcohol involved...I asked him if he was drunk too. Lol. Think I have watched it 10 times now, never gets old.

That's entertaining. The question is how did your brother not go nuts alongside him?

Great question. My Dad actually works until about 10. My brother sitting next to him had already watched the game live. My dad was watching the DVR, not knowing what had happened. My brother knew what was coming and decided to record his reaction.
