Now wait just a second....Ozzie Guillen is a Depaul season ticket holder?

I gotta get there for a game now. I'd love to sit right behind him and watch him go crazy. That may be worth the price of admission all by itself.

Seriously though, how many people do you get a for a game normally. Kent St may not be a huge name in hoops but most college hoops fans know they have a pretty decent program.

SHU never really fills up for non-conference games unless they get a big name school in. They'll average 9-10k for Big East games, but don't expect any wild crows when Eastern Washington, St. Peter's, and NJIT come to town.

That painful truth ends next year!

It really is embarrassing. Our young alumni are a major problem. They show up as students, but stop as soon as they graduate. To be fair, from what I've heard on here, SHU season tickets cost several times what, say, Creighton season tickets cost. However, I can't imagine they're any higher than the prices at schools like St. John's, Georgetown, and Villanova. They do have affordable options for the young alums though, even if they aren't the best seats in the house.

Haha! Sometimes we don't play any defense at all!

My memory is foggy maybe it was those upstart Butler fans!

Def not Butler, last few years they basically assaulted opponents.

Yeah BU leaves the house in the morning with rocks in their pockets b/c you never know when a good rock fight is going to break out. I'm sticking w/my CU accusation. I remember people saying that my guy Brooks wouldn't see the CU starting lineup b/c he doesn't play enough D!

I have to ask...how many people were at the SH game? Not sure you would have filled the Creighton Prep high school gym tonight.

Yes, we know Creighton and their fans are God's gift to basketball. Its been about an hour since someone mentioned it on this board, I had almost forgotten.

I know, with all that "at CU we play defense with our feet not our hands" preaching the other day.

Did some CU fan really say that on here? Because I can speak for myself and 95% of other Creighton fans: we're not proud of our D. It's passable at best and lethargic at worst.

You don't happen to remember what thread that was do you? Because I'd love to see who said that.

Really fun to watch on offense, but needs to step the D up.

DePaul was down 11, but they're rallying. Now down by just 3 with a chance for Brandon Young to make it a 2-point game with a FT coming out of the TV Timeout.

Ah.

In his defense, the 'his D needs to step up' comment came from Greg McDermott in the postgame interview after Alcorn St. So I think he was just repeating what the coaches have said about Brooks.

Our starting PG Chatman has 14 assists and zero turnovers, and in my opinion is our best on the ball defender. I love the game that Brooks brings to Creighton and am excitee what he is going to bring to our team, but he is not going to take the starting job from Chatman.
