Fox Sports 1 Update

I hear you, but I would rather have something like the Pac-12 tourney on FS1. Need to expand the viewership.

I'd almost like in those years where FS1 has the P12 tourney, the night session is 6:30 and 9pm. That way, the 9pm game ends at 11ish, and the p12 tourney starts at 1130ish. Having a chance to recap the BE games would be huge- right after the game, and not as a quickie at halftime of the P12 games(at 12:30am mind you)

Let's not act like FS1's life or death rests on getting a contract with the B1G. Would getting the B1G Contract help FS1, absolutely. Would not getting the B1G Contract hurt FS1, no. It wouldn't help it, certainly, but it wouldn't directly lead to it's death.

It's been said in this thread a million times, the success of the channel relies solely on getting eyeballs, which it barely does with its current offerings.

Exactly. The problem is after the Big Ten, the next thing that comes up for bidding is NHL in 2021 and then NFL in 2022. Oh, and MLB in 2021 as well...

I think the other thing that this shows as well that's a problem for Fox- it's a big advantage to be an incumbent. ESPN and Turner probably expressed to the NBA that they wanted to get it done before it went out on the market and stepped up to the plate.

It wouldn't shock me if ESPN went to the Big Ten and tried to get something done before it goes on the open market.
