Okie State in at 59, 7th in the Big 12. Providence, Okies and Ariz State all bunched, all picked 7th in their conferences.

Just amazing how consolidated the power is. Between 8 conferences you have 51 of the top 57 teams. And 54 of top 60, 60 of top 70.

Yepper... Power in college hoops has always been "concentrated". Shoots big holes in all of the "parity in college hoops" BS doesn't it.

Just 5 years ago you had a 9th conference with 3 tourney spots, and a 10th with 2 spots. 4 years ago, you had 12 conferences with 2+ bids, and the Pac 12 was one of the conferences with only 2 bids.

Ever since the expansion in the last 4-5 years- the power has really consolidated even more. Gone are the days where a conference like the CAA could get 2(or 3 bids even).

Georgia enters at #57. 9th team out of the tournament...

so 9-12 out of tournament(or 3 seeds for NIT)- Georgia, GW, Oklahoma St, Arizona St. Seems pretty reasonable.
13-16 out of tournament(4 seeds for NIT)- Providence, UNLV, Alabama, Utah

Well, GW at #58 probably in deep trouble. They fired their coach after some allegations of abuse were chronicled in the Washington Post.

You don't do something like that unless there is something really there....

Mike Lonergan fired as George Washington head coach amid probe - ESPN - Saturday, September 17, 2016

George Washington has fired men's basketball coach Mike Lonergan, sources with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Andy Katz on Friday night. The decision comes two months after the university opened an investigation into allegations Lonergan was verbally and emotionally abusive to his players.

The move left members of the George Washington staff in shock, sources told ESPN's Katz. A source told ESPN that Lonergan left campus at midday Friday and didn't tell anyone why.

George Washington also had a recruit on campus for an official visit Friday and Lonergan unexpectedly didn't show up for dinner with him, a source said.
