Letsgonova wrote:I think part of the problem was that we didn't want to play whomever we played at the Wells Fargo Center, as we are limiting our games there next year because it is a NCAA tourney venue. So, whatever team we played had to be willing to come to the Pavilion, a much tougher place to play.
Now, why we didn't just start on the road, no idea. A visit to Madison would always be welcome in the letsgonova household.

Fox looked at it and said, okay, Villanova probably gets some of the better BE TV ratings on their own, so let's send Nebraska to Villanova. Now, a team like PC that probably draws crappy TV ratings and needs some help so they send a higher profile team to PC. Obviously I have no idea, I'm just speculating.

For anyone interested, here is a statistical rundown of next year's Big Ten rosters. In my opinion, this needs to wait until the upcoming NBA declaration deadline passes and the April LOI's are in hand. But the methodology for rankings is given, so you can argue statistics and facts rather than opinions. Top 3 from this Roster Ranking are Maryland, IU, and Michigan. Wisconsin comes in 12th.
