Seton Hall won by 4, but the entire game they had a 10 to 15 point spread, got to 20 i think at one point. Illinois State must have hit 8 three pointers in the last 2 minutes, and they started intentionally fouling with 2 minutes to play too.
There actually should be a rule change with intentionally fouling... maybe on the 15th foul of the half, the offense gets 3 shots; also, under 2 minutes, on any foul committed in the backcourt by the losing team, 7 seconds are removed from the clock (1/5 of shot clock).
With Marquette, at this point while you're still figuring things out, so the bottom line is that you gutted it out and got the win. I saw parts of the last 8 minutes. Big problem was rebounding. MU has height issues, so that's expected somewhat.
So, we went 4-0 tonight, with:
- a dominating win vs #14 VCU,
- a Virgin Islands Tourney Championship that included an ACC team and an SEC team,
- a blowout win vs a solid Murray State team, and
- an ugly but gutsy, ballsy win by MU.
And the Big East is now what, 34-2...?
