It stated that the poster (a UD fan) was going to go to the game and root for NCState because Xavier fans still thought of UD as a rival while UD fans have moved on. The link to that post showed up on the XavierHoops board which is how I happened to see it. That post is about as delusional as you can get, I think.

If it is not a rivalry and Xavier has moved on, why do so many Xavier fans visit UD message boards and A10 message boards? I rarely read what is on UD pride, but if you want a few laughs go to Blackburn review; there is some comical stuff over there.

I see nothing wrong with the UD students at the Xavier practice; I think it's fun and honestly is the only reason I really would like to see UD in the conference is because of the X rivalry. Normally I couldn't care less, but all of the Xavier posters on here make me realize that that truly is a great rivalry. If the play-in game was at Xavier and Dayton was playing, are you trying to tell me Xavier fans wouldn't be massively rooting against Dayton? I love rivalries.
About the game, it should be an entertaining ball game. I personally don't NC State has the resume to get into the tournament, but they will present a challenge to Xavier. If Stainbrook is healthy, I think Xavier should pull it off, despite all of the UD fans. Hopefully home in time to watch.

3 point shooting-
NC State 325th best shooting team this year from 3 pt range(30.3%). X 231st best guarding the 3 (35.4%)
X barely above the national avg at offensive to % 199th- 18.7%. NC St turns over teams at 17.5%
Offensive rebounding- X is 86th best at off rembounds 34.1%. NC St is 338th best at allowing offensive rebounds(36.3%)
think 1 stat that is a concern- NC St holds the ball for 19.3 seconds per time. That's a second longer than X is used to. Also, NC State is about an inch taller on average than X is- 22nd tallest in the country.
According to Ken-Pom- Xavier is favored 74-70.

She sought out a UD official she knew at courtside during the game for the purpose of putting a stop to it. Fans were expelled from the game. It was so bad that it made the news. There are rivalries and there are unhealthy rivalries. This has become an unhealthy rivalry.
