From a Villanova fan that was a straight beating. I thought we were going to make a comeback in the 2nd half and we were run out of the gym. I have posted on this board that I think Creighton is Final 4 good and they proved why tonight. Villanova's 3 point defense has been an issue in the past and it was completely exposed tonight. Only thing I can hope is that Villanova learns from this and bounces back Saturday against Marquette. Great game for Creighton. Happy that another Big East team will be getting the respect it deserves after tonight.

Creighton vs. Villanova the lead in to Sportscenter. That's probably never happened before for Creighton, can't buy that publicity. Stuart Scott: Creighton shooting was "Africa Hot" and ""If you're feeling froggy, give it to Ethan Wragge."

Next segment, they talk about Creighton's hot shooting vs. Houston Rocket's today and then on the next segment, Scott says Joe Johnson is shooting like Wragge....damn!

Was at the game... Creighton did the equivalent of selling Nova to another inmate for a pack of smokes. Great game Jays. At one point McDermott subbed in for Wragge and I thought: "Thank God!". Imagine being relieved that the best player in the country was coming back in the game. Unreal performance. Not sure if he even hit net on his first 7 shots.

LOL GumbyDamnit! Funny line man, I will use that. Coach Boeheim said today that Creighton could have beaten anybody in the country last night, Syracuse included. I love Jay but he needs to know when to make adjustments, should have went straight man from the get-go.

HoosierPal wrote:That was a beat-down. Why didn't Wright make an adjustment? Even Raftery could see that Villanova needed to stick on the shooters and not double down. Wide open shots every time. Memo to Coach Wright: put someone on #34.

That's what I kept saying to myself-What the hell is Jay Wright doing? He is the coach right? He did nothing IMO.

As much as the players got out played Jay got absolutely out coached. I could tell in the first 5 minutes that CU's game plan was to spread the shooters out, have Chatman and Manigat drive and kick. I don't remember one drive where a Jays player actually took it to the hole. They hit paint, the Nova guys collapsed they kicked it out and Wragge and Co calmly sank the open 3. I pin that one on Jay more than anyone.
