Congrats Creighton fans. I am sure you guys are used to it, but the onslaught of deep 3-point shots was unbelievable. McDermott is awesome, but Wragge's 3's were from another zip code. I see how you guys are destroying teams. You have one a very special team and I will be rooting for you guys to make a deep run. Enjoy the season and Good luck.

Question for X fans, what are your chances keeping Christon beyond this year? That kid is a talent!

Sadly, I think most of us have accepted that this will be his last year. I said to my wife during the Marquette game to enjoy what you are seeing now. The kid didn't have a great game today, but he is something special to watch (as is McDermott and Co.).

I would say X is looking at a 0% to 0.1% chance Semaj stays. Gawd I hope I'm wrong, but he has progressed so far in 1 1/2 years in terms of having a complete game, I would be SHOCKED and poop my pants if he stayed. Yeah, poop my pants level shock.

That is a high level of shock right there. Great game. Not looking forward to playing at your house later this season. Hopefully we hang as tough as X did today. Go Big East.

Holy freaking heck you should have been there. That was a tremendous amount of fun and I would have said that even had you pulled it out somehow. The last minute was pure childbirth. Felt like a tourney game.

Wragge is under orders to shoot that stuff if he's open, because a) he can obviously make them and b) Coach Mac wants to drag opposing bigs so far away from the hoop that they're of next to no use defensively. I'm gonna miss him as much as I'll miss Doug, plus he's my 7 year old's favorite. When Wragge hit that third three my kid looked at me and just said WOW!!! Twenty years from now he'll be getting married and I'll be thinking of moments like that.

You guys are good. I'd pay money to see you get Wichita in the second round of the Dance. You'd beat them. And Christon is pure gold, and probably the fastest player off the dribble I've seen come to the CLink to play us.

Wragge is like ol Pittsnogle from WVU. No conscience at all from way downtown. Fun win, but worried about butler on short rest Tuesday.

This game was exactly what makes the New Big East as great as it is. If the powers that be have watched this game closely and objectively, it will raise the level of the league substantially. There were fantastic games throughout the Conference this weekend. Any team can beat any other team (at least on their own home court) despite the records. Butler is the best 0-4 team in the universe! And few teams in D-1 would want the pleasure of playing 0-3 St. Johns on the Johnnies' home court any time soon!

I love this league and I'm as proud as ever of my Xavier Musketeers despite (or maybe because) of losing to one of the most dangerous teams in the nation today. There was no quit in the Xavier squad and the Blue Jays refused to give in to the constant onslaught of the "no-give-up" Muskies.

Congratulations Creighton! (Now I must go to the ER and get that angiogram that my Doc prescribed for me during the second half of the game today.)

I had a similar thought too.

The Wichita fans gleefully told any CU fan that would listen that this league would never be considered to be a high major league. Which is pure BS but beside the point. I'm sure they're totally stoked playing Evansville, Drake, Indiana St., et al. every week. LOL Every game in the league is terrific, both from a competitive standpoint and a viewing one.

Regardless of what happens to us going forward, leaving that mid-major nonsense behind and moving into the big time will never get old.
