Man we are catching almost every break possible as a conference.

Almost... *cough* Marquette *cough*

Nah. No conference has every single game go their way. Had they pulled out that game, that's exactly where we would be. As it is we are about 1/3rd of the way done and still better than you could reasonably expect at this point.

No doubt we are doing amazing, its just funny to think that if Marquette was the usual Marquette we could feasibly be 38-0.

Congrats Nova!!!! I probably woke my entire neighborhood screaming during the last minute of the game. Truly outstanding.

Hopefully, Vegas is wrong on Butler and right on the other 3 tomorrow. The BE might need a few breaks tomorrow, thank the basketball gods Marquette isn't playing.

In real basketball talk though, for Nova to be Final Four great they need Ochefu to be even better than he already is. Without him the team is relatively small and interior D is a must against elite teams.

So to recap...

Michigan hit short jumper at 1:40 for 53-52 M lead.
Pinkston hit short bank shot at 1:10 for 54-53 VU lead.
Michigan hit short bank shot at 50 sec for 55-54 M lead.
Pinkston called on bad offensive foul call at 37 seconds.

Michigan trouble inbounding, burn final timeout. Wright screams for offensive foul non-call. 37 sec, M up 55-54.

Michigan heaves 3/4 court pass. Guy doesn't move. Foul VU at 31 sec. Shoulda been 5 seconds. 1 and 1 for M.
Michigan misses front end of 1-and-1.
VU rebounds, brings upcourt. Burn final timeout with 24 secs.
Neither team has any timeouts left.

Pinkston hits 5 footer in lane at 13 sec for 56-55 VU lead. M guy fake flops, good no call.
Michigan guy drives, Ennis blocks, ball goes out of bounds, at 7.8 secs. Michigan ball.
Refs decide to see if ball went off on Michigan guy, effectively giving timeout-less M a chance to set a play up. Jokers.

Michigan inbounds to guy under hoop, guy goes up, but Pinkston (who was guarding inbounder) races over and gets clean block.
Arcidiacono gets rebound.
Arcidiacono dribbles away. Fouled with 4 secs. VU up 56-55. 2 shot foul. No timeouts for either team.

Arcidiacono sinks both free throws. VU up 58-55 at 4.0 secs. Michigan no timeouts.
For some reason, Michigan sends all 4 guys down far end of court, leaving inbounder alone. Maybe to avoid 1-and-1 foul...?
Michigan inbounder heaves downcourt, ball goes out of bounds without touching anyone.
VU inbounds, Arch fouled, sinks both at 3.6 secs. VU up 60-55.
Michigan inbounds, game over...!!!

Villanova has some brass ones baby...!!!
Fun team to root for...!!!
VU with top-20 wins on back to back nights..!!!

I think Nova will have a very tough time matching last year's in conference record. So by doing well again in OOC they are giving several other conference teams 2 golden opportunities for a signature win. Getting that may be the one solid win to push a potential bubble team over the top. Either way we all keep playing the way we are and we'll all have high RPI's.

Amen. Who would have thought a couple of years ago that all these people in Omaha, Cinn., and Indy would be so wired to watching Nova playing tonight. It was a great game and an amazing comeback for Nova. Their performance and the others so successful thus far will help to get more conference teams in the NCAA tourney and more national media coverage. That will continue to bring top national talent to the Power 6 (Football 5 and us) ! The video on Coach Wright was great on the advantage of having a basketball primary league vs football team .

I would never have thought 2-3 years ago that SHU fans would be rooting for Nova. I know I was on the edge of the couch at 12:30 last night going crazy. The blocks by Pinkston and Ennis were insane laying both Mich player on their a _ _.
