Presented without commentary. Photo taken just outside Indianapolis.

I always thought the Indiana license plates were about the most eloquent way of saying "We know you live somewhere else and are heading somewhere else. Sorry we're in the way."

Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."

This is my new favorite thread. I hope it continues up to 25 pages about nothing, it's like a Seinfeld episode. But seriously...

Thats Grand Dragon. The Hobbit and Dungeons and Dragons don't get associated with the KKK.

The Grand Dragon often wears Red or Green. If you say someone is a "Red Dragon" in many places in the country, that's what they are going to think.

Anyway, didn't mean to hijack the dumbass idea that UAB (a state, directional school) could possibly be considered ahead of many midwest & east coast private institutions for admission to the BE.

Many places or just the really rural racist places? Also like I said, are people thinking of the Klan when they hear Dungeons & Dragons? How about when they see the trailer for the new Hobbit movie? I also remember all the bad press the Hanibal Lector sequel "Red Dragon" got for it's connections to the KKK. If we have a giant red dragon like the pic below no one in our conferences footprint (With the exception of Indiana) will think of the KKK.

Is the KKK still a thing? I mean, I always assumed it was like the Nazis;yeah there are still a few out there, but they are more to be pitied than feared. Am I wrong here? Is there still some big KKK movement?
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Dragons is one of those names I'm always surprised that no "Big 4" North American sports team uses. Same with Knights. Nobody.

My only theory on Dragons is that it too easily becomes Dragqueens for rival fan mocking.

Let's keep this going. I HATE the term "____-nation" and am beginning to despise the "______-Way" (even though Butler uses and abuses it).

Even Indianapolis is bad since the Mafia families moved from the east coast to Indy some years ago.....Wait that was the NCAA who moved to Indy. The Mafia moved to Creston, Iowa.

What about UAB to the A-10? After all they already have UMass.

I am actually getting to like this thread.

Big East should be in no rush to expand. Only reason to consider it is if one of the big time basketball schools that have football drops down (Memphis/UConn). Keep in mind, the likelihood of that happening is slim and none....which brings me back to my original point; there shouldn't be any expansion talks.
