If you can't make basic layups or execute fast breaks at this stage of the game, you just won't win. Glad the Johnnies lost. I guess I don't care as much since I told myself they weren't going to make it a few weeks ago. I mean, we couldn't buy a must win or BET win if we were Bill Gates.
If you can't beat PC on your home court with their best player (by far) crapping the bed and Seton Hall instead of Nova lurking in the next round, you deserve to be kept out of the tournament, then slapped. Very weird year for this conference. No stability. After this season, SJ should never get the benefit of the doubt for anything.
SJ fans complain and complain that students and other fans don't show up for games like this. Do you really wonder? Did you watch the game? The team has zero killer instinct and zero balls. We must be 0-10 in must win games the past few years. We had a chance to beat Xavier…blew it. We had a chance to beat Nova…blew it. We had a chance to beat PC…blew it. For the price you pay to attend a SJ game, they better damn well prove they are an NCAA team first.
Sick of the people crying for fans to come support them and condemning the ones who stay home. Fans don't go to watch shaky teams. They go to watch GOOD and PROVEN teams. The kind of team we will never see with Lavin as coach.
