If you've been tracking those RPIForecast projections often, you'll agree that they're still changing fairly significantly day to day. An unexpected win or two, opponents playing better than expected, etc. really matters.
As a Xavier fan, when I look at the conference schedule I just see so many opportunities for good, meaningful wins. Teams that have proven they can beat other good teams will rise to the top. I'm optimistic for my team and conference.
I advise that you compare the Big East to the other major conferences that currently exist. Drop the "well last year the Big East had..." arguments as irrelevant. We don't need to beat the Big East as it was last year.
3-4 locks going into the Big East Tournament is not a horrible scenario. 1 or 2 teams will play themselves in from there.
I'd agree with you about those- if OOC play had another 2-3 weeks to go. But, today is it pretty much. now we start to beat up on each other.
about the other conferences-
P12 6 projected top 50 teams
B12 6 projected top 50 teams
B10 6 projected top 50 teams
ACC 6 projected top 50 teams
SEC 5 projected top 50 teams
A10 3 projected top 50 teams
my point is we have 2 locks right now probably in Nova and Creighton. Georgetown I think is in pretty decent shape if we can win 10 games in the BE. So 3 locks and then 1-2 that could play themselves in from there.
