For comparisons sake, Butler's exhibition the other day drew a bit over 5,000 i believe.

I know you said that tongue in cheek, but believe me, we travel like this to St Louis in greater numbers and it is a great reunion type atmosphere for the fans. We all are very excited to finally take this last step to the big stage and the Big East Conference. It's being part of this conference that has everyone of us excited. We know it's going to be a battle, but to be in the conference with "like minded" schools is fantastic not only for our athletic programs but for attracting students from the eastern U.S. to our campus.

I hope a lot of you get the chance to come to Omaha for a game. I expect you will be treated great and you may be surprised about the fun you will have. Everything is 5-10 minutes from downtown and the airport. Go Big East!!

I'm thinking you will be right! Good for them and for the Big East. We all need to learn their secret so we can all replicate it at our own arenas!

It would be interesting to see what the pecking order is! My hope is that Seton Hall, and to a lesser extent St. John's, have really stepped up their efforts on the ticket sales front. For Seton Hall, MSG is a 20 minute train ride right to the arena!

Does close proximity lead to lesser sales though? I could see people bypassing all session tickets and just buying specific games from scalpers.

Creighton sold 1900 all season tickets for MSG, that's more than the top seller last year Syracuse who sold 1800.

I called it on Monday in the other thread

Awesome job. The question is will this sustain after the newness were off?

Amazing numbers for Creighton. You guys are awesome. And you definitely have Final Four potential.

By the way, I'm just old enough to remember the "Kansas City - Omaha Kings" (the same guys out in Sacramento) with Nate Archibald and Phil Ford... I think they also had Otis Birdsong and Tom Burleson too... Scott Wedman I think was on the Kings back then... not sure, my memory is foggy... the late Cotton Fitzsimmons was the coach (kind of a Judd Heathcote/ Rollie Massimino hybrid)...

I don't think we'll see anything like this next year. This season in the perfect storm with the move to the Big East, having a returning All American, and a pretty good team. We'll be in rebuild mode next year after losing 4 starters so the expectations will be much lower or at least that's how I see it. Nevertheless, I'm blown away at the sales numbers.
