And maybe they can pull out one win in the tourney this year. Ill be pulling for them to win the summit.
I'd love to see DU step it up on the basketball side of things as well, but for now, we probable have to content ourselves with being able to watch lax games out here.
yeah basketball is probably their weakest sport. But they are very strong in just about every other sport on top of lacrosse they are the top ski program in the country, also one of the best hockey schools, great tennis and soccer. All pretty impressive for a school thats only been D1 for 10 years. Would love to see them expand their affiliation with our conference.

Whether it's TV coverage, NCAA spots, computer ratings, whatever- there is a huge canyon difference there. And yes, that includes the Valley- which is nothing but a 1 bid conference going forward. 2nd place team isn't even in the top 95.
Heck, you could say that it's a top 10, and include the WCC. But that's it.
You do understand that in ratings terms, the Valley is closer to the MAAC than they are the A10. Also closer to CAA and the Ivy league.

Or A10, MWC, and WCC, and the other 22 conferences. You can't just lump all other conferences except the 6 together.

Yeah I would agree with that analysis I think that it is not a state with a history of basketball. I think as far as groups an Ideal fit would be the MW but they don't seem interested in a non-football school. I think after a ncaa appearance this year the MVC, WCC, or A10 all seem like possibilities. Its definitely a program with upward momentum but its by no means moving at that fast of a pace. One of my favorite parts about Denver basketball is one of their sponsors is the Colorado State Alumni are one of their sponsors.

This thread is designed to do just that. And hopefully for Big East fans, it succeeds in that regard.
I guess another way to look at it would be this: If a Big East team loses to a team from the A-10 or MWC, is it a bad loss?
