Thanks for posting that, X Factor. I think that Creighton is also positioned to go to the tournament. And if Villanova gets on a hot streak . . .

Huge week coming up for Creighton. @ Xavier and then Providence.

Nova just needs wins. These next 3-4 games are must wins for them IMO.

I don't think the next four are must wins for Villanova, but worse than 3-1 would be pretty damn bad. Kenpom projects them to go 9-11 overall in conference play, which sounds like an NIT bid to me. For those saying that they're different with Cam Whitmore, I agree, but it hasn't borne out in efficiency metrics yet and their Kenpom ranking has been pretty steady. Basically, Nova has to do better than projections, changing a 9-11 finish into something like an 11-9 or 12-8 finish. Kenpom cumulative expected wins over the next four is 2.44 wins, so winning at least three in the next four is a step in that direction. Winning all four would be a wonderful course correction.

I'm assuming that they just aren't going to get Justin Moore back unless I see him check into a game.

Fwiw Seth Davis ranked CU #22 this week.

11-9 and they're 17-14. That's not going to be good enough almost certainly

Why they need to win these next 4 is who it's against. @ Depaul, @ Butler, Georgetown, and @ St John's. Those are the kind of games that to get up to 12 or 13 wins and feel better about their chances they need to rack up..

We'll see, but Nova is definitely going to be judged to a solid degree on how they changed with Whitmore coming back from injury. Their efficiency metrics didn't really changed, which were used to estimate expected wins, but they started winning more games (regardless of competition).

I agree, but I don’t see any reason why Niva can’t win all 4 of them. Butler should be the toughest of the bunch.

Yeah, at Butler and at St. John's are the challenges. They quite reasonably could win all 4 and then they're set up well to go for a tournament bid.
