Didn’t catch the MU v Jays game but Sam H with 3 pts? WTF? Soft or did CU take him away? For an all-BE type player, how does that happen in a big spot at home?

Mullin isn’t getting fired. Unless he steps down he will be the coach next season

If Cragg is worth his salt he tells Mullin after this season to either shake up his staff or step down gracefully.

It could be ugly next year. This is a team that could fall all the way to the cellar without Ponds. Maybe Mullin will see that, and step down if they don't get in.

They actually have some pretty solid additions coming in next year. Transfers and JUCO standouts. If Simon and Heron return, which they should, we’d be losing Ponds/Clark and adding a couple solid big men and also JUCO PG Cam Mack. We’d definitely be a bottom half big east team but I don’t think the season would be a disaster. Especially if mullin could make some smart changes to his staff. Either way, this last Xavier game and the BET will tell us a lot about the future of this program. Do they step up and put themselves into the tournament or do they back down

Who would have thought Georgetown would be sitting in 3rd place at 8-8 several months ago. Wow what a wild season it has been.

^^ Bottom half of the Big East in Year 5 under Mullin? That's pathetic. We could've kept Lavin and finished better than that. We'll see how much clout Cragg truly has this offseason because change is a comin'.

Dana O'Neill had the following comment about St Johns:

When I watched the Red Storm play at Villanova, I put my head down on the table for a brief second. I didn’t weep, but I could have. So much talent, so much inconsistency, such an inability to understand how to close out games. The Johnnies just do foolish things — jacking shots they didn’t need while up on Villanova comes to mind — and have little grasp of the whole time-and-place concept

Maybe that's a good read. It reminds me of X and the problems we have with clock management, coupled with our inability to control the ball and not have so many stupid, lazy turnovers. Hopefully we are sorting that out as the season comes to a close, and it's not too late.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

so much about college hoops is luck. I mean this year isn't that much different than prior years... I mean this year you take-
Georgetown knocking off Syracuse- Battle's shot at end not going in
Providence knocking off UMass
St John's beating Seton Hall- ref game
Creighton beating Marquette- last second regulation shot not counting for Marquette

and right now the Big East is looking like 5 locks right now. With Providence just needing a home win vs Butler to probably seal their bid as well..

what's happened this year is always the danger of the round robin.

actually what is more amazing is with tiebreakers, Xavier is the team sitting in 3rd place right now. Bet come last Christmas no one saw THAT coming, with Xavier with 8-5 OOC record.

Lol...95% chance Heron does not come back. He's been causing drama and his father isn't pleased with staff. He was probably going anyway before the season, now I'd think he's almost definitely gone. Simon will be one of the most coveted grad transfers so he's far from a sure thing. Ponds is definitely gone and so is Clark. Next year we have zero chance of finishing top 5 in the conference. You can't build real contenders with JUCO's and transfers. That's why almost no one tries except us. All it does is reveals how poor the recruiting is of HS kids. If it's not painfully obvious by now that we are headed nowhere with Mullin regardless of the players, I don't know what to tell you.

Nate Oats or Bobby Hurley. Let's clean the slate and build a real team the right way. Maybe we can actually get a real big man for once too.
