Since we're on the topic of mules... a mule, as everyone knows, is the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse.

Lol...to put it kindly, some of you take yourselves way too seriously on a sports forum. Any different opinion and your blood pressure is through the roof and you turn into internet tough guys. I applaud guys like Bill Marsh with whom I disagree with on certain things, yet he's able to remain civilized and we find common ground. I can assure you guys I don't take this too seriously, I'm just a dedicated fan of the program wishing to see us truly relevant again.

Not about "differences of opinion". Its about your making unsubstantiated insinuations of wrongdoing. Which I strongly suspect is an outright lie.

You don't take yourself to seriously yet you have complete and total meltdowns after loses writing Shakespearean soliloquies. Hamlet reads your posts and thinks, man this guy needs to tone down the dramatics.

I never said I knew what happened behind the scenes. All I know is it does not look good and it's almost impossible to rationalize legally, can you give me a hypothetical where it would be normal and legal for an 18 yr old freshman to somehow get a $150,000 car for his mother? Just because we don't know all the facts doesn't mean we throw our hands up and pretend we have no clue how it could have happened. It's called reading between the lines. NJRedman, how was that bragging? If you own a certain brand of car, chances are you are more familiar with all the different models/prices they offer versus others, no? I don't own a Ferrari, but I would expect a Ferrari owner to know more about the models than I do, since he was in the showroom looking around at them.

You don't have to be an owner of a vehicle to be familiar with the price. I know many people, myself included, who are extremely familiar with the cost of most vehicles. You continue to paint everything with a broad brush, and see the world through black and white lenses. You always come up with these screwy, or apples and oranges type analogies.

I never said you can't know the price unless you own the same brand of car, I said chances are you will know better than the average person not driving that brand of car. You just split hairs on stupid details and ignore the meat and potatoes of what I say: this is not good and there's no rational and legal explanation for it...notice I offered you to give me a hypothetical but you declined. Did he work 10 jobs? Did he hit the lottery? I mean come on. I love the kid, but you have to be objective here. I just don't like how it makes us look as a program.

Happy to see Ponds pick up another player of the week award. I also wanted to add that I saw another instagram post were Ponds was posing for a picture with some guy. The guy captioned the picture, "Going in the 1st round!" and Ponds re-posted it. Now before some of you flip out and say "It's an 18 yr old on social media relax!", "stop looking into every whim from an 18 yr old!", etc. it's concerning. Bill, you recently asked why I think he won't stay 4 years...this is exactly why. He had 12 NBA scouts at a game this year and he has everyone in his ear telling him he's going to the league. I really hope he stays 4 somehow, because physically he still has an immature body. He needs to become a man before going to the NBA.

SJhooper, a few years ago I was in Miami and had a friend take a picture of me next to a (I'm guessing) million dollar yacht. I then sent it to some friends as a gag suggesting I was going on it during my trip. My point is simply, do you have prof that Ponds actually purchased the car, maybe it's a car that belongs to someone else (or a complete stranger for that matter), or that it's Ponds' way of saying "thank you, when I am in the NBA (or if) this is what I plan on getting for you? You need to get past the "inner city" complex that you have, people today can lease very expensive cars, they don't have to buy them. Someone I know lives in a rough part of Newark, and guess what he drives in, yep a leased BMW. At the end of the day, all we know is that you are following a college kid on social media, you took a screenshot of something that kid posted, & then you reach out to that kid and tell him to do something (take the photo down), I'd be more concerned about a fan who is that obsessed than with the photo. :D If there is something underhanded going on, then it will come out & life goes on.

So in a Bronx Tale, when Calogero brings home a ton of cash as a kid, Lorenzo (played by DeNiro) his father shouldn't have demanded to know where that money was from? How dare he! Maybe his son just hit the lotto or borrowed someone else's money...maybe he rented it. Same concept. My point is that anyone in their right mind knows it's suspicious. I'm not saying it's true or false, I'm saying it's suspicious. If any of you have kids who are around 18 and you noticed $150,000 in cash under their bed, you wouldn't ask any questions right? Hey, maybe they just shoveled lots of driveways for old ladies. Don't be so quick to judge! You can be a huge SJ fan, be a huge fan of Ponds, and also be realistic.
