if they are 85th- it would be right on the fringe of the NIT- that would hinge on all the small conference regular season champs winning their conference tournaments.. Kind of what happened with Marquette last year- there were so many non winners that it shrunk the at large field down to only 19 or so.

Well that settles it then. Creighton will just have to seal their NIT bid and just win the league regular season title out-right. :D

well they're up/down to #77 now, and only Creighton and St John's on the list so far. 6 teams in the top 76.

Davidson just got posted as #76- the #7 team in the A10. So both Big East and A10 have 6 teams in the top 75.

15 teams in their bracket so far as auto bid schools. So, about 3 1/2 weeks from now we'll start getting into the at large teams.

Toledo gets posted today as #75- the MAC champion. 16th auto bid team in. So 23 more non champion teams to get posted before the at large in tournament teams start get rolling...

Also- this shows what I was talking with about Creighton. If we see say 4 more auto bid teams getting in- so 20 1 bid conferences- we would be having a team at #49 getting left out of the NCAA tourney. Creighton at #85 would be best case scenario there be on the bubble. Heck Davidson at #76 is on the bubble quite frankly for NIT- if top 48 has the 36 at large schools and 12 auto bids- Davidson would be the 28th team after that. Say 5 auto bid teams between Davidson and #48- Davidson would be #23 at that point. A lot would hinge for them on do the smaller schools get their #1 seed in the NCAA tourney, or are they auto bids for the NIT.

6 teams from the AAC in the top 75 as well.

Denver is an interesting pick at #77.

so 6 each for the 3 conferences in now top 73. Means also that we're only 10 weeks away from the season :)

Illinois St #3 in the MVC got added most recently.

just looking
A10- most recent Davidson #75 7th
MWC- most recent Colorado St #78 4th
B12- most recent Kansas St #79 8th
SEC- most recent LSU #80 8th
BE- most recent Creighton #85 7th
AAC- most recent Houston #86 7th
ACC- most recent Wake Forest #94 11th
P12- most recent USC #102 9th
B10- most recent Purdue #105 11th

So this big 9- has of the top 73 teams now- 63 of those 73. If you add MVC- they have 2 of those teams, and WCC- they have 3 of those teams. So that's 68 of 73 teams left now. Just thinking- there are 16 autobids left, so the other 5 are 1 bid champs(that would be Ivy, Horizon, CUSA, SBC, and WAC) that have only 1 team left. So of the big 11 with those 68 teams- they're fighting for 47 spots. So for instance Illinois St today got posted- they're the 22nd team out.

of course all this assumes this list is even close to accurate, which it's not.

Not sure how you can say that. They were actually pessimistic on Dayton last year- had them as the last team in.

Also, when you get past the next 4-5 teams- you realistically start seeing what the bubble is going to look like. I mean I know teams in that late 50's early 60's had teams like Providence and SMU last year. basketball isn't like other sports where teams come out of the blue normally.

I haven't looked at their whole list but I read the Dan Henner Preview of the A10 and he has Davidson near the bottom (11th and hoping for the NIT) so having them 75th seems suspect to me, and in general they rarely are that well written or accurate in terms of rosters, so I would take this list with a huge grain of salt.
