Barring injuries or breakout preseason camps for a couple of young players, Xavier would likely start start the following lineup:
Point Guard - Dee Davis
Shooting Guard - Remy Abell
Swing/Quick Forward - Trevon Bluiett
Power Forward - Jalen Reynolds
Center - Matt Stainbrook

Depth:
Point Guard - Larry Austin, Brandon Randolph, Edmond Sumner
Shooting Guard - Myles Davis, J.P. Macura, Edmond Sumner
Swing/Quick Forward - James Farr, Makinde London, Trevon Bluiett
Center - Sean O'Mara, Jalen Reynolds, James Farr

PG - Dee Davis
SG - Remy Abell
SF - Justin Martin
PF - Jalen Reynolds
C - Matt Stainbrook

6th - Trevon Bluiett
7th - JP Macura
8th - James Farr
9th - Myles Davis
10th - Brandon Randolph
11th - Sean O'Mara
12th - Edmond Sumner
13th - Makinde London

- I would absolutely not rule out Bluiett starting, potentially pushing J-Mart to the bench or to the 4 and bringing Jalen off the bench for his energy.
- Spots 7th - 13th on the bench are very close to interchangeable at this point, will be interesting the order it actually ends up in.
- Sumner and London are both potential redshirt candidates as they both need to put on some muscle and our depth might allow for the redshirt. Not saying it will happen, but wouldn't completely rule it out.
- The Xavier staff is still active on the transfer market and with incoming guard Devonte Graham. I think this indicates there may be another defection or two from the team, which would obviously shake this up.

Hey Genius, perhaps you didn't hear the news last spring that Martin has transferred from the program? Any credibility you had with me, the XU nation and this board should be essentially gone.

Perhaps one too many bong hits from your Colorado almuni group.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

He sure did. Apr looks a lot like Aug! I stand corrected and will take my lumps. Apologies to Chalmers and will now get back on the road to recovery with my own credibility. :D

No bongs for me, unfortunately.

When your first post on a board is an epic fail, the only place you can go is up. Welcome to the board, XUDenver. Don't worry, you'll find lots of people who say ridiculous things on this board all the time. At least you had the decency to apologize when proven wrong.

Thanks, Gumby. I think I had a little 'Nuke Laloosh' from Bull Durham in me and wanted to "announce my presence with authority..." If you saw the movie, you know how that turned out too..(epic fail).

I'll play it conservative for a while. :D

Nah Hall I too say stupid things from time to time. It's I-net board fever...affects us all. In fact looking back to this time last year I remember foolishly saying the following:

- "I think Nova is the class of this league."
- "Buzz Williams is overrated and I believe Marq to be as well."
- "Don't sleep on Providence. I think they are a tourney team."
- "Creighton is a top 3 team in this league period."
- "I expect the same old, same old out of SHU."

Even I am wrong at times....err... never mind.

Milliken will likely start at the 2 for Creighton, and probably Hegner at the 4. If we are starting Zierden or the freshmen I think we are in for some real growing pains.
