The game was just ugly for Villanova 31 3-point attempts and made 11 of them. No bench points. It wasn't even as close as the 12-point game in the second half.

Nova didn't face teams with UConn's athletes most of the year (PC had Cotton, who is a stud, but Napier is even better, and he has a little more help, and St. John's is athletic but a mess) and it showed.
I don't have a problem taking so many threes, the issue is how the threes are shot. Nova is a good shooting team when they're getting open looks off ball movement. Far too often, they just jacked threes early in the shot clock off the dribble. Offense was crap today, and they couldn't finish near the hoop either.

UConn had to work to beat Temple on the road. Won by 13, but the game was single digits in the last minute. Villanova won @Temple by 26. UConn lost to a god awful Houston team.

Yet head-to-head UConn curb-stomped 'Nova.

Nova beat up on a mediocre league? Come on. They beat Kansas and Iowa.
