Same would happen for Creighton if your program hasn't done a thing in 20 yrs. I don't understand when people are so shocked fans don't support a terrible team. Same problem with SJ…give us top 25 seasons every year and we'd sell out MSG. But since we're irrelevant the past decade we won't get good crowds either.

Sampson missed dunk no one within 5 ft…story of our season. DePaul also being allowed to hand check and reach in all game…you can't go grab the ball out of a guy's arms when he has it. But to be fair the refs probably let us get away with a few hand checks too. Can someone please explain to me why in a fast break we shoot it from 15 ft. away immediately? I don't see any other teams pulling up on fast breaks. In a fast break the very least you should get is free throws. Yet we pull up then miss the shot or turn it back over. I feel like this costs us 6 points a game. Also we have missed about 24 points on missed dunks and layups in the past few games. Maybe more. This is one of the worst offensive teams you can put together. We have Harrison and Jordan. That's it. No one else can score.

And as I type this Sampson just had a wide open floor and instead of driving aggressively he thought about pulling up and hesitated then DePaul finally gathered themselves and guarded him. We are the only team I've watched that has numbers only to hesitate and let the defense gather themselves instead of attacking the rim.

Lol…that's another good point. When people say "How does no one go watch basketball in NYC? There are only 4,000 people!", I say the same thing. It's like an amusement park compared to where some of these other teams play where they are the only ticket in town. Add being bad for a decade plus to that equation and it's the perfect way to have bad attendance.

Edit: Make that another missed layup…twice actually since we got the rebound and still missed again. At this point I wish we had Rice here from Rutgers to throw balls at the players heads every time they miss a layup or dunk.

Edit: Now we can't even dribble with no defense on us…lost the ball twice back to back turnovers out of bounds…wow. We should be up 12 right now.

Lmao the refs just called the foul on Sampson's block that they let slide when DePaul blocked us. Same exact play called 2 different ways. And they just took a 3 point play away from us on a BS travel call. F the refs. F them. They have been so ridiculously biased against us. 2nd straight game the announcers are confused why the refs are screwing SJ.

I know that Chi and NYC are substantially bigger than any of the other cities that these schools are in but none of us are in little ho dunk towns. We're all in fairly large cities with plenty to do. Also keep in mind that Depaul and St Johns are enormous compared to the other schools so despite the other attractions you should still be able to get people there. I'll give you the no success thing, that's why you two are sleeping giants with more potential than anybody else.

Can't speak for St. Johns but DePaul needs to re-exam their leadership (AD) if you see any dramatic success like they did in the 70's and 80's. They have the resources, funds, city support/connections (evident with their new stadium), and a large alumni base that's just waiting for something to be excited about.

I think I may have just committed a foul against DePaul typing about them from Long Island. That's how this game is being officiated.

SJ should be SMACKING DePaul right now. If we didn't let DePaul get every offensive rebound, the refs gave us about 6 points they stole from us, and we made all our layups and dunks we would be up by 15 possibly 20. The only reason DePaul is even in this game is because it's St. John's and we always keep it close. Always. You can be the #8 team, the #2 team, a D-3 team, or the worst Big East team. SJ will never get separation. DePaul like Nova is getting FT's at a 2:1 ratio against us even though we seem to be getting to the paint the same amount.

Pointer gets fouled by Melvin, Pointer doesn't get a call. Pointer reacts and throws him down. Technical. This is becoming a clinic on what not to do as a ref. Un-be-lievable. Announcers asking why…again. The 3:1 ratio of FT's is going to win them the game. The technical was absolutely the right call but they ignored the clear foul before it. When you refuse to call against a team all game and give the other team 3:1 players are going to get pissed. That's what we just saw.
