I think with their underwhelming "smart" numbers, PC is going to want to avoid Bubble talk.

think that's a fair point. if PC can handle though DePaul, Marquette, and then win 2 of the other 7 games, that gets them to 20 wins and that's a pretty magical number quite frankly. But even 1 of 7 gets them to 19-12, and with a 38 RPI. Generally speaking- RPI is a MUCH better predictor of a tourney bid than Ken Pom is.

also to expand on that- looked and 6 of the end of the regular season top 43 didn't make the tourney from Ken Pom. Meanwhile #13 in Ken Pom Tennessee made it as a PIG team.

Loosing 7 of 10 games is a rpi killer. Even if against well ranked teams. But yes, 4-7 would probably give them a shot. They just better hope the last spot doesnt come down to them and SJU. Sweeps hurt.

Thing is 19-12 with the wins that PC has- ND, Butler, Georgetown, Xavier- plus 1 more solid win- they would still be in good shape.

And bottom line- RPI is a much better predictor of a team getting in vs Ken Pom.
