UNC beat us three years ago in the tournament. Their inbred fans are still sending our players death threats for "ruining" their chances of a NC because one of their star players broke his wrist on a hard foul from Wragge. It's also the same game where the Gibbs wink came from after he drew a technical.
So yeah, Creighton really hates UNC. The feeling is pretty mutual.

UAB had a more impressive tourney showing than the NBE. To deem them unworthy is missing the mark. They have good history with DePaul and Marquette.

I's say their basketball tradition stacks up favorably to Creighton (who many people weren't aware of until Doug McDermott - who only played in the NBE one year).
