College sports madness has Creighton at 33, 5th in the BE, 9 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Dunkin Donuts at 110 East Lancaster Avenue in Wayne has been in business for 7 seven years.

Owner Mayur Patel said he and partners Sunny Patel and Akshay Amin looked for a location on the Main Line for three years before finding the small sliver of a space that Saxby's used to occupy.

He said they gutted and renovated the space, which only has two tables. But, Patel said, most of the clientel will likely be taking their food and drinks to go. Patel thought business would slack off with the departure of Eric Paschall...

...but now that VU basketball practices have started Patel has noted an uptick in deliveries to the Davis Center.

He expects double daily deliveries to Nova since "Poppin' Fresh" (Eric Dixon) is actively involved in hoops practices and with the season fast approaching.

Stay tuned...

On CBS, Friars are as high as 1st and as low as 7th. But almost everyone agrees the bottom three are Butler, DePaul, and St. Johns.

Yeah. We can probably all agree on the bottom 3, though Butler could finish higher. You could make a case for any other team to finish #1 or #7. If you go by the pre-season rankings, the consensus of the oh-so-smart folks who try to make a living predicting such things seems to be:
1 - Nova (just because they're Nova, and because they have a great recruiting class coming in)
2 - The Hall (Powell and all 5 starters returning)
3 - Xavier (4 starters returning from a team that finish strong last year, good transfers and a highly rated recruiting class)
4,5 - Cr8ton (4 starters returning, pretty good newcomers)
4,5 - Marq (Howard and good surrounding talent, but can they overcome losing the Hauser brothers?)
6,7 - Friars (Diallo, 4 starters returning, but not much help coming in)
6,7 - G'town (program clearly on the upswing, finally has enough talent throughout the lineup to compete with anyone, the league's best incoming freshman?)

Let's just start with a league wide stomp of everybody else in our pre-conference schedules, and we can sort it all out in January and February. A FUN SEASON AHEAD!

Nice breakdown of the season for the GE's. https://painttouches.com/2019/10/04/wha ... to-thirds/

Sounds like PT is saying the GE's won't necessarily be better by going Big fulltime this season. Also that Marquette should be better without the Hausers (addition by subtraction). Interesting piece.

Will be an interesting non-conf schedule for the Cats as Antoine is out - won't begin to practice until late November. And Gillespie just broke his nose. Committee at the PG...including my boy Bey.
Should be an interesting non-con slate. Maybe this guy can run the point??

Gillespie is only missing the usc scrimmage for sure. Just a week or so out. Great experience for Moore. And yes GTMO, Bey will also be point- forward. Has a really good handle. Kid is going to take a big step up this year.

News on Antoine is encouraging again. Jay's comment that a red shirt was on the table was shot down by BA and Jay at the B/W scrimmage. He was shooting threes... so, look forward to see the kid in December.

Oscar. Getting close to time to crank up the BE fantasy league...yes? I'm ready as I'm sure that Hoya and the fellas are gearing up as well.
