I' so sick of BE teams choking in the tournament. Obviously Villanova has killed it and Xavier has been okay. But the rest of the league really needs to step it up.

Apologies to HLOH brethren for our exit. Not our best game by a long shot.

Full of gratitude though. Marquette Basketball is back. Can't wait until next year.

Xavier/UConn/Creighton - carry the torch, y'all.

I was worried about this match up for y'all with how Mich St seems to come alive in the tourney's. Get a lot back next year, so expect about the same as this year.

Of the teams left by the end of the night, the sweet sixteen will be made up of;

SEC - 3
Big East - 3
Big 12 - 2 (could be 3 with TCU win)
Big Ten - 1 (could be 2 with Indiana win)
Pac 12 - 1
Mountain West - 1
AAC - 1
Ivy - 1
Conference USA - probably 1
WCC - 1 if Gonzaga wins
ACC - 0 unless Miami wins

Am I missing someone? Not sure. But bottom line is big East is tied for most representation left in the tournament.

So in other words, shut up idiot

based on the seedings the league should have 7 wins right now. And the league has.... 7 wins right now. Was projected for 8 wins for the tournament.

Shows how important seeding is. For the top 4 teams, this may be the best seeding the realigned league has had and it's no coincidence we now have 3 Sweet 16 teams.

Quality over quantity wins out.

Yup. You know I've beat the drum on that here in the past(much to some folks dismay).

Yes credit where it's due. I haven't looked into it, but seeding/rankings may be why the Big East has mostly underachieved in the Tournament (outside of Nova obviously). Seems like far too often we were counting on an 8 seed or whatever to beat a 1 seed in order to get 3 teams into the Sweet 16.

Great season guys, sorry to see this result. Fun team to watch. I had you winning it all in my bracket.
