Rooting interests for best Big East outcomes this March:

Root for:
Providence
Xavier
Marquette
Creighton
UConn

TBD (for now definitely root when they play the bottom 4):
Villanova
Butler

Root against:
St. John's
Seton Hall
DePaul
Georgetown

The Big East standings basically.

I'm kind of surprised that Kenpom really likes the BE vs. the NET this year.

4 UCONN
17 Marquette
18 Creighton
24 Xavier
28 Providence
53 Nova
65 Seton Hall
74 Butler
79 St. John's
147 DePaul
217 Georgetown

Lunardi with 9 Big 12 teams in. Not going to happen because of attrition, but the B12's lowest KenPom team is Oklahoma at 37.

Using this. the Big East would have 5 teams playing in white uniforms in the first round of the NCAA tournament. I think if you offered that to the league office, schools, coaches, and fans before the year started, all would take that in a minute. And if you' told anyone that Nova wasn't one of the 5, most of their minds would be blown.

Is it reasonable to expect four Big East teams in the Top25 tomorrow?

3 definitely, but I am not too sure about Marquette.

Jesse Newell doesn't get to vote anymore, but he'd have 4 teams in based on kenpom.

3 UCONN
15 Marquette
17 Creighton
18 Xavier

No surprise the RPI rankings are terrible in comparison as those don't take into account anything besides W/L. I think in future years this board can relax a bit if we lose a bunch of close OOC games.

I think there will be 4 ranked teams today. Amazing comeback by the league.
