Badly needed a home game.

No kidding... X had nova on the ropes and frankly let us off. Clearly something about shooting at that 1 basket.

Still think X is top 3 in the league.

That 4 point play(which is when I actually asked the question) and also the dunk at the end of the 1st half just changed the game.

My thoughts exactly. Handed the momentum over on a platter.

Good game tonight X! Was happy Villanova pulled it off. Desperately needed a win, and coming against a Top 20 team like Xavier is a good win, so I'll take it. Starting the season 11-2 is probably not the worst thing in the world, still a very solid season so far for X. Villanova will not be looking past X in the next game and it wouldn't surprise me if it goes the other way at Xavier.

gtmoBlue is my boy even though he didn't acknowledge when I gave him and Creighton props!

some pretty large moves in the NET from the 2 games yesterday
Nova from 17 to 13; Xavier from 11 to 18
UConn from 21 to 17; Marquette from 64 to 76

A bit surprised at the Xavier drop. Wish they showed the actual NET rating- have a feeling that it's pretty close in there between teams.

In the other thread I alluded to the opinion that "Nova is fine".

AS much as I wanted to see the Muskies win, I am not surprised at Nova winning @Finneran. No one should be surprised
by this outcome. They always win at the Pavillion. (I luv WFA...)

Congrats Novaites for dodging the 3 consecutive loss bullet.

Chestrockwell85...Was up my man Chesty! You gave lil cr8n some props? I missed the post. My bad. Always good to see
and read your posts Chesty. How's NYC these days?? Things are good down here in LATAM (food prices are edging up though).

All the Best for the Holidays- God Bless you and yours!

PS: went back into the Nova / Jays thread, page 4. Found it.

Thanks Chesty for the cr8n props and shoutout. Had missed it previously. Thanks my man...
Nice synopsis of Jay's system as well.
All the Best this Holiday Season. git

Late to the party after last night, but UConn earned a hard fought win over MU. We battled being down Morsell, but every time we went on a little run, Cole or Martin came down and hit a big shot. Congratulations to both young men on their career scoring milestones. Both have been invaluable additions as transfers for Hurley and the Huskies.

Kuath's missed dunk was a backbreaker, but we had many missed opportunities in the last few minutes. Kolek missed a layup, Lewis missed a three and we just couldn't get stops.

The endings to Xavier and UConn are both eerily similar. Hope the young squad learns from mistakes and continues to improve and gain valuable experience.

to me NIT would be a great goal for Marquette this season.
