so I do a computer ratings.... they're pretty decent I think....

right now for Big East....
Villanova 13
Butler 15
Xavier 22
Marquette 29
Georgetown 30
Creighton 34
DePaul 37
St John's 47
Seton Hall 54
Providence 125

This would be a dream rating for the Big East. For a team like Creighton thru Seton Hall- 5 of their 9 home games would be Q1 games and 8 of their 9 road games would be Q1.

Yeah the B12-2 announcer during the X-TCU game sheepishly called the B12 the #1 NET conference almost swallowing the words as he knew the tide was changing in front of his eyes.

Xavier will jump from 56 tomorrow. Outside of an unthinkable set of results in the remaining 6 games, the Big East should be recognized as the best conference.

only 5 games left vs d1 schools- Butler vs La-Monroe, Marquette vs Central Arkansas, Georgetown vs Armerican, and then the 2 Nova games vs UConn and Temple. Really as long as Butler, Marquette, and Georgetown hold serve, nothing is going to change that. (obviously Creighton needs to win it's non d1 game)

However, perception if the league beats the tar out of each other, while ACC has say Duke finish at 16-2, or Big Ten if Michigan St finishes 16-2, etc. is going to get hurt.

3 - Butler (3)
21 - Nova (21)
24 - Creighton (26)
31 - GTown (35)
32 - SHU (36)
35 - DePaul (37)
48 - SJU (50)
50 - Marquette (52)
51 - Xavier (56)
119 - PC (123)

Our 9th team is one spot out of the Top 50. Just awesome.

Dude why do you constantly wrap yourself into a pretzel trying to find ways to pee on everyone’s Cheerios? Captain Obvious: a team from a top conference goes 16-2 and they’re thought of highly. Wow. Way to go out on a limb. So MSU and Duke lock in 1 seeds. Guess what. IF Butler goes 16-2 they’ll be a one seed too. What’s your point? And how in the hell does a single team doing well in another conference lessen overall conference value elsewhere? Each team stands before the committee on their own merits. Period. Duke going 16-2 doesn’t make Syracuse’s resume any better.

You can’t spew the importance of everyone going .500+ in one post and follow it up with a claim that would be a bad thing “perception wise“ to the conference. Either way you’re covered. If we have less teams but higher seeds, that’s a big disappointment to you. But getting 8 in because we are not as top heavy is a bad thing too. Honestly, just another ins long line of nonsense posts that you love to try to slide in there to keep everyone’s expectations managed properly.

We know you hate the A10 (AAC rival?) and love taking shots at them, but Davidson has been a massive disappointment. It was supposed to be a strong top 3 with VCU, Davidson, and Dayton, and we knew the rest were mediocre at best. For their sake VCU (no signature ooc win) and maybe SLU (NET 61 & @KSU best win) better beat up on other A10 teams to enure more than 1 at-large bid.

Perception won't change much if the Big East remains the top conference even if the teams beat each other up. Maybe we won't have #1 seeds... but we will have a ton of great and experienced teams that move on to the tournament

Go back to 2011 when the league had 11 bids and the 9th place team won the national championship.
