Interesting how the tune from basketball-only Wichita State about UConn is markedly different from the rest of the conference

Some fans have the capacity to be objective and call it the way it is, regardless of the fact that the school they cheer for is one from the group that was left behind.

Others are just plain delusional:

- We apparently only get $3.5 million per school from the FOX deal.

- The AAC is a better basketball conference than the Big East.

- The Big East will continue on a steady decline.

Fun stuff.

Some of the UC crowd are very entertaining, dumping all over UCONN football. In the meantime, UC was stupid enough to dump $70+ million into a stadium that only seats < 40,000 people and will never hold a candle or be able to compete with Ohio State.

Tbf this hits uc fans the hardest. This move may have pushed them to their breaking point. Little old Xavier is in the big east and they’re staring down the barrel of cusa 2.0. We’re seeing levels of triggered we didn’t think possible in our lifetimes

Thanks for throwing this together. My all time favorite poster from that timeframe was BigEastHomer, a guy whose rooting interests were ucf, temple and, I think, houston. Had to have been the most butthurt poster after we announced we were leaving.

BEH was a passionate, yet obnoxious, poster who would ridicule and attack C7 fans, ignoring any sense of logic or reason in debate. I completely forgot about the multiple allegiances he had (Temple/Houston/UCF). One of those quotes was definitely from him (and there are many, many others). I'm not surprised he ended up getting banned (especially for what he ended up doing).

There are still quite a few "AAC-Truthers" that are, quite frankly, just bizzare. Just last night a well-known AAC fan wished for me and a UConn fan to engage in a very specific sexual act (that later got deleted/removed). Hardly surprising, since this same poster said past Big East interest in UConn was "sports porn" and told BE fans to "remember, just like normal porn, UCONN is just another unattainable fantasy." I guess dreams do come true
