- as a first move, why not send Khaleesi and Jon out first to roast the white walkers?
- why did the humans charge into battle so much, espscially on an open plain which favors the white walkers, rather than use their castle defenses more effectively? why hurl stones from catapults and trebuchets (great word) into the darkness, probably hitting random Dothraki in the process? why no boiling oil dumped from turrets?
- why was Winterfell even constructed at its location... not on a river, not on a bluff, no natural defenses, small courtyard... just plopped on an open plain.
- continuing on the supposed badassery of the Night King... why was no bodyguard nor group of white walkers surrounding him as he approached Brann, like he did minutes earlier when Jon confronted him?
- Melissandre... it showed her in the past at night, taking off her jewelry and becoming old, and waking in the morning and apparently putting jewelry back on and being young again. So why did she turn to dust wheb doing that last night.
- if this White Walker threat was so invincible, feared for 10k years, but the death of the NK alone would obliterate the threat... why wasnt the assassination of the NK everyone's highest priority?

1. the battle plan was absolutely nonsensical. the dothraki weren't even using dragonglass weapons. what were they gonna do? they were sacrificed for the sake of a cool shot
2. winterfell i believe is built there because that is possibly where they beat the white walkers the first time and "winter fell" and also because it's sitting on top of a hot spring that heats the castle. definitely not built for it's strategic military position.
3. the melisandre thing i was thinking the exact same thing. we've already seen her survive without the broach for longer periods of time
4. i've been screaming this about assassinating the night king since they figured this out last season.
i've had a lot of problems with the show the last few seasons and it's getting worse. the number of times main characters should've died last night and didn't was outrageous. there were countless shots of main characters being overrun by insurmountable odds and magically staying alive. jon snow, jamie, brienne, greyworm, and sam all should've been dead many times over
they're definitely struggling without the books to guide them.
lots of talk about how expensive this episode was and how long it was and "it's longer than helms deep!". there were a lot of parallels with the battle of helms deep with the women and children in the caves, but it was nowhere near as good. i thought the battle of the bastards was better. it was disappointing

- as a first move, why not send Khaleesi and Jon out first to roast the white walkers?
- why did Theon put only 12 arrows in a barrel to protect Brann? under what scenario would Theon reach for an arrow, look down, and realuze none remained? so, 45 seconds earlier, he never counted his available remaining arrows, and kept a mental record of the remaining number?
- why did the humans charge into battle so much, espscially on an open plain which favors the white walkers, rather than use their castle defenses more effectively? why hurl stones from catapults and trebuchets (great word) into the darkness, probably hitting random Dothraki in the process? why no boiling oil dumped from turrets?

- stepping back to last season... where did the white walkers get the heavy chain from, used to pull the dragon out of the lake? if white walkers are so afraid of water, how did they go underwater to set the rigging on the dragon?
- where did Euron get the timber to construct his enormous fleet of ships?
So many questions... Lol...
