Yeah we always play poor in the BET, we'll be so close to completing that checklist by then too

I believe Marquette will get a 3 seed unless they win the BET which they usually struggle in.

Marquette or Nova would probably need to win out to get on the 1 line. With the conference being down, there just aren't enough big wins left to offset any losses. In the Big 10, and ACC, half the games are quadrant one games, which will give the top teams the ability to drop a couple of games, yet still remain high on the seed line. I can see a 2 seed if Nova, or Marquette wins the BET, and avoids any losses to the lower half of the league. If someone else wins the BET, Nova and MU drop to a 4 at best, maybe lower if they lose to a bad team.

totally disagree. You have 6-7 teams that have clearly seperated.
Virginia
Duke
Gonzaga
Michigan
Michigan St
Tennessee
Kentucky

unless 4 of them totally slip, there's no room for a 1 seed.

Getting a 1 seed seems very unlikely. It's not really because the conference is down, it's because Nova/Marquette lost too many games OOC. Can't lose to teams like Penn, Indiana (7 Ls in a row) and Furman OOC and still expect a 1 seed. Especially when you consider how well the current 1 seeds played OOC (similar to how Nova and Xavier played last year).

Getting a 2 seed is certainly possible. I expect one of Marquette/Nova to get a 2 seed, and the other a 4 seed.

yeah, I'm afraid Creighton's problems go well beyond being young. Lack of size - such as playing most of each game with one guy bigger than 6'4", lack of playmakers outside of hitting threes (which we are now at 37% in BE play and dropping), lack of physical size and skills set to defend effectively, lack of real emphasis on defending other than lip service, are all much bigger and systemic issues than youth. On the plus side, our one signee/commitment this year is another 6'1" guard  We have some skilled players, but we have too many of the same player and trying to make a basketball team out of that. Doesn't work against bigger, quicker, more athletic teams.

I am truly concerned that with the uptick in recruiting in Chicago we are destined to replace DePaul as perennial 9-10 seed if there is not a change in direction quickly. Not advocating a coaching change, mind you, but the current coaching staff needs to do some hard soul searching this offseason, IMO.
