Ken Pom shows 2 huge areas to watch....
1st like Marsh said is Xavier offense getting to the line... Xavier is #10 in FT Rate while Cincy is #24 in FT Rate allowed.
2nd is Cincy offensive rebounding. Cincy is #36 in the country in that stat, while X is #3 in not allowing offensive rebounds

It's amazing, if you had told me that 2 months ago that in this game a Xavier win would be considered an upset, I would have said you are a loon. But really it would be.

so lets look....
1- Xavier got to the line 23 times. 23 FT/56 FGA = 41.1 FTR. Xavier's season average is 44.7 to Cincy's average allowed of 27.2. So closer to Xavier, but still not as good as normal.
2- rebounding. Cincy got 48.7 offensive rebounding percentage 19/39 missed shots they got rebounds on. That's above their season average of 35.8 and way above the X season avg allowed of only 23.9. Killer there.

This one hurts. Xavier shouldn't be punished in the polls for losing to a ranked team on the road, but we know they will be. Hopefully Marquette wins tomorrow so they likely break into the top 25 on Monday, otherwise we'll be down to just 2 ranked teams...

I don't think it would be just for X this loss, but more so the cumulative impact of now losing what 4 out of their last 5 games.
