down to 79 and still no Big East teams..

What is really good now is we've got 8 teams in that are NIT projected. Means the Big East schools that are NIT bound wouldn't be that bottom 8 that get chopped off due to auto bids.

Have got to think by Sunday we get our 1st Big East team. Still thinking 8-9 teams in the countdown from the Big East.

There will certainly not be 10 teams that make the list. No one in their right mind would include this year's DePaul squad. I know I constantly bring it up, but I really think everyone here is underestimating how terrible they will be.

For what it's worth, down to #73 and still no teams from the BE. I have to believe that the league will have 8-9 teams in the top 72 teams. The CSM preview also shows 50 slots left in their Bracketology projection, so 50 of the remaining 72 teams will be in the Dance.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

mathematically it has to be 7-10 teams. Big 12 doesn't have a team in yet as well. There's 17 open spots.

what's great about now for the Big East is that the teams are high enough now where if the projection is right, they would be above the NIT bubble busters. For a school like a St John's- getting in the NIT would be huge for their progress this year.

just saw that Kansas St is in at 71. #9 in the Big 12.

Means that the Big East if my calculations are correct has 8 teams in the countdown still to be revealed.

K-State (#9 in the Big 12) checks in at #71. So 8 teams left from that league, same as the number (I suspect) of BE teams in the top 70.

and Valpo checks in at #70...

so looking....
already 18 1 bid conferences posted.....
got 4 more conferences where only 1 school left- Big West, CAA, MAC, MVC.
so 22 1 bid conferences in the projection....

from what we've seen... here's the conferences by teams left...
ACC 12
Pac 12 9
B12, BE, B10 8 each
SEC 6
A10 5
AAC 4
MWC 3
WCC 2
BW, CAA, MAC, MVC 1 each

We still have 19 teams to go before at large NCAA tourney teams start getting revealed. I always say with these- once you get to about 8-10 out, it's pretty darn close as 1 game would make/break the season just about.

best part of being down to #70- only 10 weeks before the season starts!!!!!

Marquette checks in at #69, and #8 in the Big East. They are projected to be NIT bound. Here is the link: http://www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/13500

so down to #66- Baylor....

now have 19 conferences posted....

have 3 1 bid conferences at least left..

Today's team- Baylor- is the 17th team out of the tourney.

by teams left now:
ACC 12
P12, BE, B10 8 each
B12 7
SEC 6
A10 5
AAC 4
MWC 3
WCC 2
BW, CAA, MVC 1 each

So at least these guy feel pretty bullish about the BE vs. the other conferences.

ACC 12/15 left = 80% of conference left
BE - 8/10 = 80% of conference
B12 - 7/10 = 70%
Pac12 - 8/12 = 67%
Big10 - 8/14 = 57%
SEC - 6/14 = 43%
A10 - 5/14 = 36%
AAC - 4/11 = 36%

That seems to be about the right ranking of the conferences.
