First time we have three top 15 teams since the split?

Good sign of things to come!

Marquette will have at least 1 AP vote. Writer from the New Haven Register is putting them #25 this week.

You were right. They got one vote.

Nicely done, X. Can't wait to see you play Nova on 12/31. Should be a great game.

Slightly off topic, but ESPN has an article on Coach Mack today. Is he at risk for getting poached due to his long period of success? Or does he have the Jay Wright situation (good enough pay, major enough team, secure situation in a town his wife likes) that'll keep him at X for the long haul?

Chris Mack is at his alma mater in his home town and I assume X is paying him competitive salary. Why would he leave?

He and Archie Miller have been mentioned frequently as likely candidates for the IU job. I think it would be a smart move by Mack if he's looking for a bigger job.

I think one of the true assets of this conference is that you have a core of coaches who seem perfectly content where they are.

Jay W - Nova is his dream job
JTIII - same as Jay
Mack - appears to be in the same boat
Mullin - SJU, enough said
Cooley - have heard that this is where he wants to stay long term
McD - has been to a major D1 school and has seen the Dark Side; why would he ever want to leave Creighton?

Not sure about Holtman and Wojo (who would obviously leave for Duke, and probably leave for a top ACC-type school). The other two? Not as concerned with their future.

I think it would take a big-time program, like IU or Louisville. Now, either one of those jobs could be open fairly soon, and then, I don't know how that would play out.

For those that know better.

If the Hoyas rip apart their next three upcoming teams... Can they be ranked by Dec 31st?

It would be fantastic to have 5/10 Big East ranked in the Top 25.

I doubt it. A lot of teams in front of them would have to lose. Winning those games would not really catch anyone's attention. You could make a slight argument for Monmouth. They have a decent team.
