Most are conservative, entrenched in their Jays community standing and basketball position - most would never advocate change, as to do so involves work. Not gonna happen. It is just too easy and convenient to stand back, strike a good pose, and criticize. They will complain regardless - win or lose. Such is life.

You are an absolute moron.

It would not surprise me if it does a little for the simple fact that we have more of an ability to take it to the rack, but there's been no talk of a philosophy change at all.

This is, however, something Gtmo has been on us to do for awhile. So be forewarned. To him this is direct evidence.

I would say in the 1st exhibition game to have the 3pt pct being only like 26% is a pretty decent sign. I mean, last year you never had a game where you shot less than 30% 3's and in 2/3 of the games, you shot at least 40% 3's. Folks that say this was just an exhibition game- I don't care what kind of game it was- team like you had a few years ago, you wouldn't have shot only 26% of your shots as 3's. That just wasn't your DNA.

It'll be interesting to see the stats from todays game to see if this is a continuing trend or just a 1 game thing.

just looking at todays game so far- Creighton up 73-20 in the 3rd-
they've taken 9 3's out of 54 shots. That's only 16.7% shots as 3's.

It sure seems like a fairly big shift.

In all seriousness...who set these games up and why is Creighton participating? If you win by 60+ pts each game what are you really gaining? I understand getting the opportunity to get some young guys acclimated to playing together but these scores are ridiculous.

Unfortunately from the highlights I have seen, it looks like a large percentage of shots were dunks and lay-ups with the other team jogging back down court after turnovers and missed shots. We aren't going to learn a thing about this team from these games. I can't fathom why they didn't find at least a little better competition for the trip. The two games so far really look like someone rolled out of bed and called up 10 of his buddies to go play a pick up game. I will bet you could have put together an intramural allstar team on campus and had better competition.

I really think it's a matter of team bonding- moreso off the court than anything else.

10 bonus practices in August for a team with a lot of new pieces, and a dedicated 7 day trip for a team with new pieces to build....well a team. Games were the price we had to pay. :-)

Supposedly todays team is "better" than the previous two.
