The projected teams are Nova, PC, Butler, G-town, XU.

For the 5th time, you ALL better hope that St. Johns and DePaul pick their programs up and that will help everyone else.
Isn't this just called good conference play? One individual posted that he thought DePaul was going to suck. I was actually the opposite. I thought this Team had a chance to make some noise this year but I only told a few.
I will make a prediction....barring any injuries...DePaul will win more games.
And in no way are us DePaul fans bragging. We don't know how....well at least after 1992 we don't.

I'm not a DePaul hater and I hope they turn the program around (and I think they should and will). I lived in Chicago for 2 years during the Quentin Richardson era and I followed the program a bit (I was, of course, a PC fan first). But this notion that the Big East NEEDS St. John's and DePaul to be good in order to find success is not something I buy. Sure, it would be nice, but if, say, Villanova, Georgetown and Seton Hall all find themselves firmly in the Top 20 every year, with maybe a Xavier or Butler as a fringe Top 20 on any given year, that would be just fine and the league would be strong.
I get the big city thought process and media markets, but it just comes across as a bit arrogant. And this is coming from someone who has lived in Manhattan for the past 10 years and is an old school BE fan.
Edit: BTW, this isn't directed toward you. I just thought of it because I constantly see people writing that the BE NEEDS SJU to be strong in order to succeed. Sure, it would be nice to have a strong NYC team, but it's not an absolute necessity.

Just wondering which projeections you are referring too? I was surprised yesterday to see people still saying 7 and XU is in the first four?
