I don't think Georgetown will be ranked in the AP polls, if they are that is insane.

They got 1 vote last week, and since then they beat TXAMCC and Robert Morris, idk how they are gonna shoot into the top 25 because of that.

I don't think they will be either, I think they'll gain some votes, but I would be surprised if they were ranked in the coaches or AP.

It wouldn't be crazy for them to be ranked it would be incredibly smart by the voters which is why it is unlikely.

I think the reason why Hoyas are getting some love is because writers knew going into the season that Georgetown had the potential to be a top 25 club but wanted to see them prove it a bit. I think Joshua Smith's back to back double doubles shows that the Hoyas are for real and will be a force to be reckoned with and that's what got them ranked in the CBS poll.

I would expect Providence, WV, Cal, maybe Creighton, Indiana, and URI to be ahead of the Hoyas based on results on the court notching wins against Ranked or in providence's case highly regarded teams.

Yes. Gtown will get votes and if they win against Florida this week and keep winning they will be ranked. This FU - GTOWN matchup is very even. Florida is struggling right now Georgetown can win that game.

Georgetown would need to follow up that win with a win in either of their next 2 games(vs Wisconsin or vs North Carolina/Butler/UCLA/Oklahoma) to get ranked.

What would it take for DePaul to be ranked?

Probably 2 of the 4 below to come back to school (with their college abilities), and get a waiver from the NCAA to ignore their professional basketball time.
Mark Aguirre/Quentin Richardson/Bobby Simmons/Wilson Chandler

All kidding aside, DePaul's OOC schedule is not too cup-cakey; it is not overly difficult, but strangely, we have had weaker OOC recently. Think about it... would a stronger HM program want to schedule DePaul and if the unbelievable happened and they lost, think of the impact on the stronger HM's RPI/SOS/NCAA resume.

It looks like Gonzaga is gonna be #5 or #7 in the poll today. If so, St. John's would definitely be ranked if they beat Minnesota and Gonzaga this week. But forget it.
