Don't forget these important facts about our recent recruits...

Desi & IW = Morton
Delgado & Carrington = Antigua

All four of these recruits were directly linked to HS/National Coaches who we hired to get these players.

Many people also said hiring FHJ was directly related to getting Sina.

In all honesty, KW/SHA have not closed on a top 100 player on their own in years.

Can't see the forest through the trees...

So they've gotten 1 Top125 kid on their own merits.

And they've had to hire 3 different coaches in 2 seasons to bring in 3 other Top100 kids and Desi.

This is why, if we have a Top150 type kid begging us to take his commitment, I would.

We pushed off a bunch of Top150 type kids to wait for Slow Mo and we were left with ZERO.

Not only that but when antigua left Delgado had to have belief in KW when he decided to stay. Now IMO Delgado is shaping up as the defacto leader of this incoming class. He and IW are constantly recruiting for SHU. I think you (shupat) are getting caught in style points. I can go down the roster of every team in the BE & find recruits that are tied to assistant coaches More than the head coach. Creating a recruiting buzz around a program is nearly immeasurable. Once you build momentum there's many more options available in maintaining it. Again look at the Hoyas, big man U has suddenly become the school of choice for PF with SF skills thanks to Jeff Green's success.

Zags: Briscoe Goes for 33 in Peach Jam Win, Talks Colleges

Briscoe recently cut his list to seven schools — the aforementioned five plus UConn and Villanova. After landing point guard Jalen Adams, it appears that UConn is no longer in the picture, leaving six other possibilities.

Briscoe broke the schools down:

Arizona: “Coach Book [Richardson], he’s great. Coach Sean Miller, he’s cool. I love Arizona, the campus is beautiful. They got a great coaching staff. We’ll see what happens.”

Louisville: “[Pitino] is a Hall of Fame coach. From what I hear, he lets his guards go. I can see that he runs a three-guard offense, lot of pick-and-rolls and things like that. I just want to go somewhere where I can play my game.”

Villanova: “They was recruiting me my sophomore year and not too long ago Coach Ashley [Howard] he said he wanted to pick up the recruiting, so I have them a chance.”

St. John’s: “Oh, playing in New York at the Garden and I’m pretty much from the Northeast area, so going there it’s crazy, I could bring St. John’s back on top.”

Seton Hall: “They got [Isaiah] Whitehead, they got Desi [Rodriguez], great players. Stay home. Seton Hall is 20 minutes form my house., so staying home so my mom and dad can watch me play is big."

Rutgers: “And that goes for Rutgers also, I live about 40 minutes from Rutgers, they have a great campus.

This kid is so skilled its incredible. Plays like a senior in college. I would take him over any player in the country. I hope he comes to St. John's but if not than I hope he stays in conference at the Hall or nova. All though Ive heard nova is a longshot.

Raymond Spalding, who was the consensus #1 target for Xavier committed to Louisville last night. Honestly not sure what to expect from the 2015 class at this point. Kipper Nichols is still out there and a priority but not sure outside of that. I think the staff is probably more focused on 2016 after bringing in a very large class this year and not really having any positions of need for the next year or two.

Poster on the RU Rivals board several days ago said that he heard IB's final three schools will be... wait for it... RU, STJ & Zona
