No offense to Seton Hall, and this is not sour grapes about yesterday, but I think it will be awful if Seton Hall wins and Providence doesn't make the tournament because of it. I think Providence should already be in, and I considered yesterday's game between PC and SJU to be a play-in game of sorts, and with PC winning they should get the bid. But we need as many Big East teams in the dance as possible and right now it is looking like it will be Villanova, Creighton, Xavier and Providence. Again though, will be a tough pill to swallow if Seton Hall beats Providence and then Providence doesn't get in because of it.

OR, Seton Hall beats Providence and then wins Saturday and they get in as well. That would be NICE! I just don't see anybody beating Creighton though.

Just another little scenario I'm looking at right now. I know some people on this board have given a hard sell to rpiforecast.com. Well, if I'm reading this right, it predicts that 2 more wins to take the Big East Tournament Championship would bump Seton Hall's RPI up to about 96. My guess is that it's assuming the final would be against Creighton. That would then eliminate both of Providence's bad losses and 2 of Xavier's 3 bad losses.

Obviously, that's the ideal scenario for me as it gets my Pirates into the dance. Does it get the Big East 5 teams?

that's actually a pretty interesting point. For that to happen, there would have to be a lot of chalk especially today around the other conference tournaments. I'd say probably not, but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility either. Maybe like a 30-35% chance?
