Exciting game to start the week. Great showing by Butler. I can't wait to see old dog Roosevelt Jones & new dawg Kelan Martin in the BE next season. Go Pirates!!!

Looks like a great crowd. Should even be better tomorrow. Congrats Hall, feel bad for Marshall, the kid played his heart out.

Really great game. I feel like I know every player on each team, their tendencies and skills. Again, awesome atmosphere on TV. Can't wait to hear some first hand accounts of the game and MSG.

Well, my Dawgs can hit a Broadway show tomorrow. Not exactly a classic game, as both teams seemed like they were willing to give it away. Too many turnovers and missed FT on both sides in the final 3 minutes.

I was impressed with Dunham's hops on the jam. White boys can jump. Just wish he could have shot straight tonight.

For me the Player of the Game was Marshall, but I know they don't give it to a player on the losing team. That's okay, because he gave it everything he had. It has to be a huge disappointment for him, going from a Final Four as a Freshman to a first round loss in conference play. Great kid, likely to get some $$ overseas next year. It was great having him and Fromm at Butler.

It's been fun.

With Dunham, Jones and Martin coming in next year, Butler should be pretty competitive next year.

Don't forget Woods, Chrabascz, Brown, & Barlow. Butler played a lot of close games this year, I can easily see them being a bubble or slightly better type team next year.

Marshall was hands down the player of the game, regardless of result. When Butler hit danger time and it looked like SHU may get away comfortably, Marshall put the team and willed his team back into it. Props to Butler. It wasn't a pretty game by any stretch, but it was certainly a hard fought game. Tough physical defense, and both teams had to really battle for every inch of space. I'm relieved, more than excited to have escaped with a win. Pirates are playing with house money the rest of the way now.

Thank you for the kind words from our fellow Big East fans, but we'll see how competitive the Dawgs are next year. Huge off-season of development for Butler, and it will be interesting to see if they bring anyone else in or if anyone else decides to leave.

Defensively, Butler wasn't good by any stretch, but they weren't that far off from being a middle of the road defense in this conference. Offensive is where the greatest growth needs to occur.

Overall, proud of the way the team fought. Effort was rarely an issue with this group. Good luck to the Pirates and the rest of the teams in the conference going forward.
