St. John's looks absolutely horrible against Georgetown.

SJU is definitely the most disappointment this year, 0-2 what freaking chumps.

Get a coach that knows wtf he`s doing.

Lavin says that we`ll gel in February??????? Well I`ll be back then.
Lets see if we`re kicking ass in a month lmfao.

Having your first 2 games at Xavier and Georgetown is rough. The Hoyas started out 0-2 last year and ended up Big East Co-champs.

Don`t give me that crap, we were down 61-29 which is a disgrace.
The final score is a lie, it was worse then a 17pnt loss

But nobody expected st johns to be "good" this year. Borderline bubble team was the projection (which they sort of still are)

Marquette was supposed to actually win tournament games.

But they are G'Town. We are SJ. One program is a perennial power. We have been terrible all but 1 year this past decade.

That 2nd loss last year was brutal. The Hoyas lost by 28 points to Pittsburgh at HOME. I was reaching for the liquor cabinet at that point.

There was more than one Nova fan who vehemently backed their team and players this offseason and they're not being called out.

I recall a lot of Nova fans thinking that they would be better than 4th place in the league while most MU fans stated that they would be the clear favorite to win the league, and would never even consider finishing out of the top 3. At this point why would any Nova fan need to be "called out?". And is it a big surprise that the guy vanished with the way MU has played so far?

Me? If so I don't see the point in arguing that with Jameel Mckay transfering and Duane Wilson out of course MU's going to underperform (though they've underperformed beyond what losing those two should've done). Sorry for the confidence and calling people out when they hated on MU hope I didn't ruffle anyones feathers.

Marquette is the bigger disappointment. I say this because I do not think highly of Steve Lavin and did not expect much from his squad. I watched what he did during his UCLA time and he is horrible at player development and coaching. I thought he might have changed after all the years as a broadcaster watching and analyzing games-maybe he might have learned some things but with what he's done with his program it's noticeable that not much has changed. Keep in mind that in 2011, he brought in the 3rd best recruiting class and look at how they're doing this year. I'll be the first to say that Georgetown's squad is far less talented than his roster but man you would have never guessed. People say he brings in "uncoachable" recruits, I say bull to that. Coach Calipari does a fine job of coaching "uncoachable" kids. Lavin reminds me of a Used Car dealers; slick, fast talker, can sell the crap out of anything. I think he would be a better assistant than a head coach. Sell the kids into the program and have someone else coach them up.

Anyways, I expected a lot more from Buzz, maybe his squad isn't as talented this year but he usually does a great job of working with the kids he has.
